DALLAS, Tex. – Laser Beauty Medical Spa of Dallas, was acquired this week by Laser Beauty Clinic, Inc. in a transaction managed by Sigma Mergers & Acquisitions.
Laser Beauty Medical Spa founder Gita Khadivar opened for business in 2007 with one primary goal in mind – to provide the best laser hair removal services in the area. As opposed to offering numerous laser-based cosmetic medical treatments like most medical spas in the Dallas area, Ms. Khadivar wanted to build her business around a single service. As a result, in the five years since opening, Laser Beauty Medical Spa has become synonymous with quality laser hair removal procedures.
With the success of the spa and accomplishment of that goal, Ms. Khadivar started to turn her attention to some unfinished business.
“I never finished medical school,” she said. “Circumstances forced me to put that on hold several years ago, and then opportunity lead me into the laser hair removal field. Once I was able to grow Laser Beauty into a successful, sustaining business operation I realized that if I was going to go back to medical school and fulfill that lifelong dream, it was now or never. So my husband and I decided it was time to sell the spa and move on.”
At the same time Ms. Khadivar was preparing for the next stage of her professional career, Heather Jordan and her business partners were looking for a Dallas area opportunity to acquire and operate.
“I was in a place in my career were I was ready to venture out and operate my own business,” Ms. Jordan said, “so my partners and I started looking around for a business that made sense for us and offered future potential that we could all share in.”
The medical spa industry presented just such potential, and Laser Beauty Clinic, Inc. was formed to make their initial acquisition into this field.
“We couldn’t be more excited!” said Ms. Jordan. “Gita poured her heart into this business to make it what it is today, and I plan on taking it from here to the next stage, keeping true to the foundation of quality service Gita built.”
